There are several known and unknown NPCs (non-player characters) around the Astral Realm who participate in some way in the ongoing Astral Campgrounds RPG.
This page explains the basics of these characters.
¶ Campfire
Campfire (it/its) is a seemingly-sentient massive blue fire at the center of The Astral Campgrounds. It is believed that Campfire is the thing binding us all here. Never let the fire go out.
Campfire is known to be fairly benevolent and has been known to protect the Campgrounds, though also draw unknown other entities towards us. It's power is not yet fully understood by Campers, but we know it seems to have our backs.
¶ Murmus
Murmus (he/him) is a Merman and agent of the Astral Realm. He has told us that his job is "to Make Sure." Murmus tends to appear in Camp when something is a bit too fishy, but otherwise is very busy Making Sure.
He is married to his husband (name unknown) and has a few kids, but we do not know much about them.
Murmus has been known to wear many hats, acting as a protector, guardian, investigator and more. One thing is for sure though: he cares. Probably too much.

¶ Beeatrice
Beeatrice (she/her) is a member of a yet-unknown species of bee-like folk. She is most well known among Camp as the one who helped us figure out Botany. Beeatrice was introduced in The Botany Update.
She has a down-to-earth charm and is seemingly neutral on pretty much anything outside of taking good care of the crops and land. Not much else is known about her or her past.
¶ Chisel
Chisel (it/its) is an Obsidian Sprite and speaks for the Obsidian Giants. It appeared after the Giants approached the Campgrounds and formed a large protective circle around Camp.
It appears to have a hard time grasping its sense of self, being a sort of spirit made out of rock that speaks for silent creatures. But nevertheless, Chisel just wants to do its best at representing the Giants.
¶ Gillroy
Gillroy (he/him) is a very dapper business boy (and presumably goldfish) who strolled in to camp one day to take up station in the Camp Store and live out his dream of becoming the worlds greatest merchant.
To expand the Camp Store, Gillroy bakes and sells homemade Fish Crackers in a fundraising bake sale. He also may have accidentally left a few puddles around camp as he was moving his wares into the shop, and deeply apologizes for anyone who may have stepped in one.
Gillroy was introduced in the June 2023 Update 2 mid-month update.
¶ Gravy Jones
Gravy Jones (he/him) is a pirate and chef (or possibly chef and pirate) who has tangled with the Campgrounds a handful of times. Most recently, he set sail in search for new flavors after the Campers rallied around him to defeat his former first mate turned nemesis, Jurgen (an acid golem).
Jurgen challenged Jones to a cook-off, prompting Jones to request help from Campers to gather ingredients to cook The Dish of Fate which won the competition. Jones then packed up his ladels and set sail to return another day.
