The Astral Campgrounds is an online community. It includes a Discord server, Mastodon instance, Wiki, Minecraft server, a blogging platform, a bespoke realtime Role-Playing Game, and so much more.
Some folks join just to chat or lurk in Discord, while others explore all the Campgrounds has to offer. Regardless, we're happy you're here. You've found a wonderful place to call "home" online.
To access all the Campgrounds has to offer, you will first need to join the Astral Campgrounds Discord Server. Our Discord server is where most Campers hang out, and your Discord account becomes your key to most places in the Campgrounds, such as this Wiki.
Once you've joined the server, say "hello!" in any channel to introduce yourself. Our custom chatbot, Campfire, will give you the "Camper" role in Discord and you will have officially joined Camp.
There's so much to explore in the Astral Campgrounds, it can get a little ovewhelming for newcomers. Thankfully, we've got the Camp Handbook section of the Wiki to help explain things.

The Lodge is a fully custom-built app for the Astral Campgrounds. It combines everything into one place while hosting profiles for each Camper, acting as a directory of sorts.
In the Lodge, you can customize your settings, play the Camp Game, or even link Twitch account to enable additional functionality.
As with all places in the Campgrounds, you can log in to the Lodge using your Discord account after you've joined the Discord server.
If you visit the Lodge on a phone with a mobile browser, you can "install" it to your home screen to get a more native app-like experience. The option to install the app from the browser is usually in your browser's "share" menu.
We have our own Mastodon server (astral.camp) which is available to join for any member of the Astral Campgrounds. Mastodon is an open-source, community-owned social network.
The admins and moderators of the Astral Campgrounds are the admins and moderators of our Mastodon server. No worrying about faceless corporate content policies. We keep it simple: ban nazis.
To join the Mastodon server, find the invite link in the Orientation Room in discord.
