So! What the heck is this "Campgrounds RPG" you've seen discussed? Why do people sometimes get "random drops" in Discord? And whats the Lodge?
TL;DR: We have an ongoing real-time game built in to our community. It is optional, but everyone is encouraged to check it out because the more players, the better!
The Campgrounds RPG is an optional, semi-real-time, ongoing game built directly in to the Astral Campgrounds. Our local bot, Campfire, conducts the RPG via Discord and The Lodge.
The Lodge is a custom built app for the Astral Campgrounds which acts as a kind of social hub and game client for the game. You can visit it in your web browser on your phone or computer, or add it to your home screen on your phone for an app-like experience.
If you have ever accessed The Lodge, your account has automatically been enrolled into the game and you'll begin receiving random drops every now and then when chatting in Discord! Campfire will auto-react to your message with an emoji to alert you that you received an item.
Alternatively, enroll yourself manually by using the /game join command in Discord!
You should be sure you are in the #camp-game channel in Discord. That is where most discussion about the game takes place.
When you get item drops, you can check out your inventory by signing in to The Lodge using your Discord account and navigating to the Inventory screen. You can also use the /game inventory commands in Discord to view and manage your items.

Items can be used, traded to other campers, or sold for Vibe Conduits.
Vibe Conduits are the currency used in the game. They can be used to purchase items from the Camp Store in the Lodge, or you can send them to other players to trade for other items.
Vibe Conduits will continue to have many uses as the general purpose currency in the game as the game continues to grow.
A great first thing to do with Vibe Conduits would be to purchase Seeds and Silkwater to do Botany!

Botany is the first "Camper Skill" in the game. There will be more in the future, but for now, it's just Botany.
The concept is simple: plant seeds, water them until they're grown, and harvest them for loot! There's a bunch of different plants to discover that grow at different speeds and drop different items.
The botany guide is a great place to have more questions answered about all things Botany. And of course, you can do all your planting and flower management directly in the Lodge.
