A shadow passes over ahead, you cannot quite make out what it is.
"Howdy, Camper. Lookin' up, too?"
Beeatrice approaches you and lifts her hand to her forehead to get a better look at what is in the sky above.
"I've noticed it myself, something up there's been circlin' around for a bit. Can't help but feel like it's familiar—"
Just then, the object in the sky begins to descend towards you. Its… a cloud ship?
"AHOY THERE!" a voice booms from the sky. As the object approaches, you can finally see what it is: The Gilded Galley, a cloudsailing ship belonging to the one and only pirate chef, Gravy Jones.
The Gilded Galley comes to a stop, hovering just above the ground. A rope is dropped over the starboard side of the hull, as Gravy Jones himself descends from the ship.
"Now, I know all ye may not be so thrilled to see me. Ya beat me at my own game back at the Pirate Potluck, and I admit: I didn't take to defeat too well. BUT! It set me on a path towards the horizon, seeking better flavors! Stronger aromas! Newer ingredients!"
Gravy Jones reaches into one many pockets on his apron.
"I was out on me journey, learning of the land and what fruits it can bear, when the wind began gusting towards yer camp. I figured, if I'm learnin' about the land, I might as well follow where the wind blows, yeah? Anyway, long story short, I'm here to tell you I've learned and grown since last we met, and I'd love to set up shop here in yer camp, cookin' up a feast for all."
He finishes digging around in his pockets and pulls out several unique seeds.
I found these around the lands as I was chasing flavor. A couple of fruit trees that have quickly become some of my favorites. I knew ol' Beeatrice here might be able to help ya grow 'em.
Beeatrice looks displeased. She turns to Jones and explains, "Gravy. You should know as well as I do that trees can't grow in this part of the Realm. Time doesn't flow well enough for the trees to take root."
Gravy Jones smirks. "Ah, yes, and thats why I've brought this." He pulls out one last seed. Beeatrice's eyes widen.
"A… Timeroot seed? But how?" asks Beeatrice.
"Nevermind that. Just, don't ask what ya don't need ta be knowin. I brought you everything you need to grow some trees, so get goin. Oh, and while fruits are great 'n all, you may want to be foragin' for more ingredients from around the wilds. Really makes it easier when I can cook with more than just some fruit."
Beeatrice looks thrilled as she scurries off to plant the Timeroot Seed. Moments later, you turn to see a giant, ancient looking tree erupting from the ground. Time itself seems to slow to a halt as the tree begins to glow and radiate blueish light. A moment later, everything returns to normal.
"Welp. Let's grow some trees, I guess!" Beeatrice says, stifling excitement.
After being defeated by the Campers in the Pirate Potluck, Gravy Jones sailed on a journey to learn more about the culinary arts and expand upon his own abilities. After many-a-gust directed him towards the Campgrounds, he decided to set up a permanent spot, cooking feasts for all out of his ship, the Gilded Galley.
Gravy Jones brought Beeatrice a Timeroot Seed, growing a Timeroot Tree and binding the flow of time in the area, granting us the ability to grow new plants which are a bit more time-sensitive, among other things...
