¶ What is a Vibe Check?
Vibe Check is a daily check-in on the Discord server. Campfire kicks off a Vibe Check every day with the prompt in the-pavilion at 7:30pm US Eastern time.
¶ How Do I Vibe Check?
Start any message with the :vibecheck: emoji and post away! It's a great way for everyone to assess the vibes around the Camp. Campfire will even save your Vibe Check as a sort of omini journal entry!
¶ Can I Vibe Check at other times?
You can Vibe Check at any time, not just when Campfire posts the prompt.
¶ Can I Vibe Check more than once?
As a matter of tradition, Campers have made a habit of checking the Vibes about once a day. However, there is nothing stopping you from Vibe Checking several times a day. Just be careful not to go overboard with it.
¶ Checking previous Vibe Checks
Campfire saves your previous Vibe Checks that you can revisit in a couple ways.
¶ Via The Lodge
Vibe Checks are displayed in your Activity history in The Lodge.
¶ Via Discord Command
Use the command /vibe history to see your 10 most recent Vibe Checks in a message visible only to you.
¶ How did Vibe Check start?
The first documented Vibe Check was held by Endeavorance on the 20th of July, 2022 at 9:11 PM EST.
Endevorance would continue to check in with the server to get a general sense of the vibes in the community until the idea came about to automate the Vibe Check on a daily basis.
The first automated Vibe Check was initiated by Dyno (AKA "Totem") on the 10th of August, 2022 at 7:30 PM. Totem would continue the service until Campfire became the all-encompassing Campground bot, issuing its inital test Vibe Check on the 22nd of September, 2022 at 3:30 PM. Campfire has continued the Vibe Checks to this day.
