The Red Feather Inn sits high in the sky above The Grove, estimated to be about two miles in the air, it is the size of a small fantasy style inn. Many campers who have heard of it have likened it to a high fantasy DnD-esque tavern setting. The bottom floor is a large dining area with a counter on the far side from the entrance, blocked from view behind it is a kitchen where the food and drink for the inn is made, off to the side of this counter is a stairway leading to the second floor, and to the side of the dining room is an exit to a medium sized balcony that gives a beautiful view to the sky. This balcony is also often used as a landing pay for The Explorer as he brings new guests to the Inn.
The top floor is a small hall with a few rooms. One of them is known to belong to The Explorer and The Cherry Serpent, though nobody is currently sure which it is for reasons covered under the phenomenon portion of this entry.
On the bottom floor, should anyone attempt to on purpose or on accident go over the balcony without some means of flight, either The Cherry Serpent or The Explorer will, by currently unknown and anomalous means appear to stop said person. Campers have reported seeing The Cherry Serpent clear on the other side of the bottom floor, far enough away that she could not possibly reach them in time, then the next moment as they tried to step onto the ledge found her tail wrapped around their ankle as she sat only a few feet away. Some theorize both inhabitants simply posses the sheer speed necessary to do this, but another event where The Explorer (who had been confirmed to be two islands away at the time) swooped in to catch a camper who had fallen on accident mid flight, making this seemingly impossible without a form of out right teleportation.
While on the top floor, any attempts to enter the rooms found there has been unsuccessful. Campers have yet to attempt brute force as this would be a flagrant violation of the standard of excellence, but we're unsure such an attempt would even work to begin with. So far the only method by which to enter a room is via a key given by The Cherry Serpent or The Explorer themselves. While in possession of one of these keys the door to it's assigned room will open for the camper.
Additionally, after a Camper has visited a room for the first time, their key can now open any of the doors, but these doors will only lead to “their” room, and upon exiting the room guest will find themselves coming out of the rooms original door
Lastly in regards to the rooms, each room seems tailored to it's specific campers, and The Grove Tender has told us that there was a time in which there were more guests then there were physical rooms, however everyone was still able to stay in their own room, and the size of each room is larger than the buildings physical square footage would allow for heavily implying some form of dimensional magic.
