No kneading required. Just some time, ingredients, and an oven.
Wet Ingredients:
2.5 cups warm water
2 teaspoons honey (or sugar substitute for vegan)
¼oz (7grams) dry active yeast
Dry Ingredients:
5 cups all purpose flour
2 tablespoons salt
Other Needed Things:
Olive Oil
Some kind of soft butter
Sheet pan with high sides
Random flavor topping/seasoning (optional)
Spatula
Two rather large mixing bowls
Something to cover a mixing bowl (Plastic wrap, tea towel, foil, etc.)
Steps:
Dissolve honey in water.
Dissolve yeast in honey water. (Proof yeast / let it foam.)
Mix flour and salt.
Dump proofed liquid into dry mix.
Use spatula to fold everything together. (This is a very wet dough.)
4 tablespoons of olive oil into second mixing bowl.
Scrape dough into oiled bowl.
Fold dough to be coated in oil.
Cover and rest in a warm spot for 30 minutes.
Using butter, grease the sheet pan.
Drizzle olive oil in sheet pan as well.
Spread risen dough in sheet pan (like a pizza, corner to corner).
Cover and rest again for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 450F (230C).
Stabby fingers into the dough to dimple all over.
Drizzle additional olive oil over dimpled dough.
Sprinkle choice of seasonings.
Bake for 20-30 minutes.
