Link Shortener

The Camp Link Shortener service is a small convenience service which can take long, nasty URLs and turn them into short, memorable ones:

Long link: https://pngimg.com/uploads/toaster/toaster_PNG6.png
Short link: https://trail.as/toaster

Usage

There are two ways to use the link shortener: via Campfire Bot or via The Lodge.

Via @Campfire

If you are in index, you can simply use the /shorten command for Campfire:

/shorten https://pngimg.com/uploads/toaster/toaster_PNG6.png

By default, Campfire will generate a random output URL. You may optionally specify a custom path (the part after the /):

/shorten https://pngimg.com/uploads/toaster/toaster_PNG6.png toaster

Campfire will quietly reply to you with the generated link.

Via The Lodge

Once you log in to The Lodge, you can head to the shortlinks manager page to create and manage your existing shortlinks.
